SYNERGIES AND TRADE-OFFS IN ACHIEVING GUATEMALA’S SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a universal call to action to end poverty and protect the
environment. The Government of Guatemala is prioritizing the SDGs it will focus on and defining lines of
action to achieve them. In this policy impact piece, we focus on SDG two which is that of ending hunger,
achieving food security and improving nutrition, and promoting sustainable agriculture, and; SDG six, for
ensuring access to water and sanitation for all.
