EVALUATING GREEN GROWTH STRATEGIES IN RWANDA

Rwanda has made remarkable progress in reducing poverty and enhancing economic growth in the last 15 years. At the same time, the country faces intense pressure on its natural capital base and ecosystem services, already with the highest population density in Africa, which is projected to double by 2050.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a universal call to action to end poverty and protect the environment. The Government of Guatemala is prioritizing the SDGs it will focus on and defining lines of action to achieve them. In this policy impact piece, we focus on SDG two which is that of ending hunger, achieving food security and improving nutrition, and promoting sustainable agriculture, and; SDG six, for ensuring access to water and sanitation for all.
